The characteristic color of the cyanotype, Prussian blue, gave birth to the artistic duo Kyano. Born in Greece, Dora is a designer, driven by her curiosity and passion for all forms of art and craft expression. Her work flourishes in the creation of textile patterns, clothing collections and decorative objects. Charles is a French cinematographer and photographer, inspired by the light, textures a

nd details found in nature. Together they travel, capturing nuances and hues, depth and magic of the sky.

✨ FRAGMENTS DE LUMIÈRE ✨
A collective exhibition in Paris

We are delighted to invite you to Fragments de Lumière, a collective exhibition bringing together four artists whose work explores nature, memory, transformation, and the traces that light leaves behind.
🌿 (Kyano Studio) presents a new series of cyanotypes created using infrared photography, revealing unseen dimensions of the natural world.
🧵 (Kyano Studio) transforms discarded and “failed” cyanotypes into mixed-media artworks, giving them a second life through weaving, stitching, and fabric manipulation.
🎨 (The Poetry Factory) presents poems accompanied by vibrant watercolor illustrations inspired by nature, imagination, and everyday wonder.
📷 (The Poetry Factory) showcases a series of photographs exploring the intersection of light and landscape, inspired by the poetry of the living world.
Together, our works invite you to slow down, to contemplate, and to rediscover the poetry of the world.

Hi everyone ✨
Happy new week ahead!

After our 10-year retrospective exhibition, we took a little break to rest, slow down, and reconnect with nature 🌿

Now we’re back in the studio, carefully preparing some of the orders placed during the exhibition. We are still feeling deeply moved and grateful for all the beautiful encounters, conversations, and new connections we made during these past weeks.

To everyone who chose one of our cyanotypes to live in your homes and spaces — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We feel truly honored 💙

Cyanotype photography is similar to poetry for us. It conveys all the words we are unable to express. The deep Prussian blue opens the door to a parallel world and adds a mystical element to the subject. This monochromatic effect invites the eye to rest and wander to imaginary worlds. We invite you to escape reality and find peace and beauty through this powerful color.

Our creative journey started somewhere in the Mediterannean sea.
We flaw high above clouds and majestic mountains.
We dove deep into cold waters, roaring rivers and blue oceans.
We knelt down to humbly observe the smallest of creatures.
We saw the land boiling and smoking but also covered by tones of ice.
We saw nature transform, bloom and grow.
We paused to breathe and connect with our planet earth.
We take it all in and we capture the striking beauty that surrounds us through the cyanotype technique.
