Summer weddings are just around the corner. This year, our weddings are taking us up and down the east coast, and we have some international travel planned as well. The slower season has been wonderful in its own way, but I am longing for the sun, green trees, and toasting under the stars 🫶🏼

A collection of images from our favorite French village. We traveled through France this past September to celebrate three years of marriage, starting in Paris and roadtripping through the countryside to Provence and the southern coast. This village was an overnight stop after a five hour drive and we arrived at golden hour. We felt like we were in a dream. We were staying across the river from the village and had the most incredible view of the buildings built into the cliffside.

The story of the film photo of us at the end is one worth sharing. Aside from my digital, I only brought my fully-manual Canon AE-1 on this trip as a reminder to myself to take slow, intentional images. While we were at the top of the lookout, an older couple walked past us. We spoke a little French, they spoke a little English. The man offered to take this photo of us, saying he used to have this exact camera decades ago and still knew exactly how to use it. That made our film shots from this evening feel even more meaningful.

Rae and Joe’s intimate wedding in Philadelphia last fall. They got ready together at their home on the outskirts of the city, and joined their family and friends for the ceremony and celebration. Bold colors, big smiles, and the coolest cake I’ve ever seen. Cheers to R+J 🧡
