Sanderling on the beach! 🐦

While walking along the beach a few weeks back, we were lucky enough to spot a Sanderling scurrying along the shoreline. These small, energetic birds are fun to watch as they chase the waves, looking for tasty morsels in the wet sand.

We had to dodge the waves ourselves trying to snap a few pictures of it while staying dry. Thanks to a rogue wave that didn't entirely work out!

🌿📸 We had an amazing time at Seaton Park on Saturday, right by the beautiful River Don. We went there to photograph the energetic White-Throated Dippers, and it was an absolute joy. These little birds are incredible to watch, diving and darting through the water, singing their hearts out and, obviously, doing their characteristic dipping.

We got muddy, wet, and one of us even fell over (all in the name of getting 'the shot'). Here are some of our favourite photos from the day, including a wonderful little video that really captures their character. Also some 'behind the scenes' shots, showing just how we got so muddy and wet.

We will definitely be paying these wee fellows another visit!
