The winter solstice at Long Meg and her daughters... Watching the shadow of Long mag fall across the circle as she was aligned to so .. a beautiful sunny but cold day with quite a lot of visitors In the winter sun glistened across the grass hundreds of fine spider webs glimmered in the grass ... I
fed the daughters in turn birdseed and then lit a candle and watched it burn down to bring back the sun. We burnt some incense Jasmin and lavender again for the suns return and then a man came and played the most beautiful music for the solstice ... magical .Solstice blessings

As we move into the sign of Libra in the element of air we are reminded to use our voices for good .. to speak kindly but truly and to advocate for peace and equality 🙏.As the nights get dark and cooler look inside yourself and become the person you want to be

Happy solstice .. we decided to spend time at Waylands Smithy watching the sun set and it was peaceful and beautiful.On the way we saw a young roe deer and not many people ! Which meant we enjoyed the sunset with just the sound of the birds singing .Spent a little time inside the chambers and reflected on the darkness before coming out into the light hopefully a way forward for the coming months .. As much as I enjoy the darkness I will embrace the light throughout the summer months this year making the most of the lighter nights before slowly disappearing into the autumn shade .. Make the most of summer she will be gone all too soon !! Legend tells us that the white horse at uffington the neighbour to Wayland leaves his hill on midsummers eve and goes down to the manger for a drink as we passed by he hadn't yet decided to do so .But had the company of a few bats who were maybe whispering the idea to him . Or maybe as another legend suggests he may go get his hoofs re shoed by the Black smith Wayland . it is said if you leave a golden coin outside the long barrow Wayland will come and perform the task on your horse .A beautiful place to visit .

Spent some of the day before sunset in Avebury . National trust and English heritage have made it difficult to park anyway in the village and the surrounding areas .We have been coming for years and now the trail of red and white cones spreads out angrily for a couple of miles outside the village. . Blocking off lay-bys at west Kennet ,silsbury hill and the sanctuary.Still a beautiful place .It was very very warm so we escaped to the church and saw the Christian way of celebrating the solstice with sun flowers and a flower labyrinth.No sunset for us this year at Avebury .

Happy Beltane from the Chalice Well .
The Beltane fire was lit and people jumped over the flame to rid themselves of what doesn't serve them anymore and move into a new beginning.
The maypole was erected and crowned with a flower garland .With ribbons red and white to represent the male and female .People dance and wove the ribbons around the pole .May day Beltane is all about fertility,the earth is alive and blossoming and new life is starting everywhere you look ...
Take time to sit in nature and observe what is around you ...she is magical .

Spinsters rock luckily in a field of sheep for me .
A very intact site and found a spell in a witches bottle located at the site .Very accessible and seemed loved and well used .Legend tells of three spinsters with nothing to do but gossip again turned to stone by the devil ... He must have been very busy 😕

The cove at Stanton Drew .At Stanton drew you will find three large circles of stone . Due to fear of walking in fields with cows I have no photos of the circles but this is the Cove in the grounds of The Druids Arms .Legend tells of a wedding party turned to stone by the devil for getting married on a Sunday and drinking .The cove is said to represent the Bride Groom and tyne drunken vicar who has fallen over all waiting for the devil to return and make them human again !

A serene and quiet chapel dedicated to Mary Magdalene .
One of the things I love about Glastonbury is how all religions co-exist very happily and compliment each other .The divine feminine recognised here and honoured .Beautiful street art depicting the God and Goddess .And the swans out on the Somerset Avalon marshes to me representing the goddess Bridget .A truly spiritual place for followers of all faith .

A walk up to The tor .We went up the steep way and came down the dragons back .Wind blowing through St Michael's tower but quiet .An offer left and a little meditation followed by another dip in the sacred white springs.
