How often do you get everyone together for the whole family shots?!

Most larger families I photograph say they only really all get together at the same time at Christmas, and even then wouldn't think to take a photo. And that just makes them even more special when you do make the effort 🤍

Whether you treat a family member for a special birthday, or all club together to share the photos, my extended family package means the whole family can join in and no one will be hiding behind the camera.

I can even do some individual family photos for you while I'm there too 📸

💥 A family photoshoot doesn't have to be hard work 💥

Faye and her lovely family came to my May mini sessions this year, spent 20 mins with me, enjoyed a lovely evening at the beach, and then had 52 images to choose from to keep forever ✨

I get that children don't want to pose for ages and they don't want to be still (especially in an exciting place like the beach!).

Fun and adventure are always the priority for me, and it just so happens that's how the best photos are created 📸

Not all newborn photography has to be at home.

"What's the best time for a photoshoot?"

Whilst we can make any time work, I will always prefer to shoot in the first hour or so after sunrise or just before sunset. This gives us a beautiful orange glow, which is really flattering and gives the photos a magical and luxurious feel. If you don't fancy that or the timings just don't work for your little ones, we can find patches of indirect shade like the ones in the photo, which means you're not squinting into the sun and there are no harsh shadows on you.

Not at all. Most of the families I photograph tell me they're awkward in front of the camera, they don't know what to do with their hands or where to look. The good news is your job isn't to pose perfectly, it's just to be together.
Have a cuddle, a chat, give them a piggyback ride or tell a silly joke and I'll take care of the rest ✨

With Father's Day just around the corner (21st June if you didn't know!), I'm so excited to be running more photography sessions this year to help you celebrate. Last year's were really special (the Dads really do bring the fun!), so I can't wait to see some returning clients who have already signed up, as well as some new families too.

"My baby is already past the newborn stage! Is it too late to do photos?"

Absolutely not! Lots of people love to have photos taken of their baby at just a few days or weeks old, to capture them at their tiniest and newest. They don't stay that little for long!

But if you didn't feel up to it or didn't get round to it, then it's never too late. At home sessions can be at any age, and you'll never regret having those photos to look back on ✨
