Hercules versus the Leviathan! ✈️🦈

My Art Deco style design contrasts the human-made Hercules plane against a Leviathan engineered by Nature, a native Basking Shark.

Both are built for streamlined capacity and endurance, with unusual snub noses

Each event for the Ayr Air Show brings a new favourite and this year it is the 40 metre wide Hercules military transport plane.

I used an airforce blue-grey colour for Scottish sky over the stylised Isle of Arran silhouette. In the depths off Ayr Beach, a 10 metre long basking shark rises to the water’s surface.

Thank you to the visitors and organisers who made it a terrific weekend at this year’s Ayr Air Show. Friday’s high winds added drama but nothing stole the show from the heart stopping displays by the Red Arrows, Wing Walkers, Typhoon and hypnotic pyrotechnic gliders ✈️🌟
