The second I parked up at the yard, Sonny the Robin flew over and purched on my mower before I could even get off of it to wash it and put it away for the day. He sure does let me know when he wants something. 😍

Baby Prairie Dogs are out in force. Baby prairie dog season generally peaks in the spring. Mating occurs from mid-March to mid-April, and after a brief 30-day gestation period, pups are born blind and hairless in underground nurseries. They stay safely in the burrows for about six weeks before emerging to frolic and forage in late May or early June.

Sonny the Robin meeting me on the bench on my lunch break to collect food for his chicks back at the nest. Out off all the different food on offer Sonny will always go for the suet pellets over anything else. He is a clever bird and knows that the fat pellets offer a higher engery rich contents than anything else. 🧡
