I have a little confession to make.

Despite photographing events for the last 20 years - I still absolutely love them!

The buzz when everyone arrives in the room. The conversations, the laughter, the speeches. The party atmosphere. All of it.

BUT also the little moments that happen in between that you might not even notice on the night.

Quietly observing it all and wandering around the sidelines soaking it all up through my lens is what I love the most.

Of course I'm looking for the big shots that every event organiser puts on their photography brief - but it's so much more than that.

I'm looking for the people.

The reactions.

The hugs.

The laughter.

For me it's about telling the story of what the the event actually FELT like.

What a wonderful email to wake up to this morning.

I love it when I complete a family gallery and send it over for them to view.
