I’m incredibly grateful to have received a Story Award in the latest round of . These images were taking during the Covid lockdown 6 years ago and document a chapter of our family life that means so much to me. Because they’re about my own family, they hold a very special place in my heart and are among my most treasured photographs. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the judges.

Incredibly proud and grateful to have been selected for an award this round of , where only a handful of images are chosen from thousands submitted by so many incredible photographers.

This photo always makes me laugh — the dog's expression is absolutely hilarious, almost like he's complaining that the little one is getting all the treats while he gets none...

I love doing documentary family sessions!!! They’re a bit different from classic family photography as I really don’t direct anything. I observe family life and capture bits of it! People and kids don’t even pay attention to me and I feel like a fly recording family moments. The real ones. You don’t have to look perfect to make photos meaningful and precious

It’s a long time I haven’t posted on my family account Piccolino Photo Studio and I feel that this picture could do for a nice coming back! I love this picture and very rarely i can say i love my pictures as I’m usually very critical. This photo for me tells a story without showing too much but the essential to understand that two boys (two brothers) are playing competitive football in the back garden! When I manage to tell a story very clearly with pictures, I’m very happy!
