I said to Charley that the Waverley paddle steamer was moored in Poole harbour and I’d like a photo of him in front of it so he’ll do anything to try getting his mum to smile,doesn’t it look like he’s towed the Waverley in place for me. Such a good dog,keeping me company and listening to my ramblings and didn’t drown me in the harbour. When all around me is falling apart including me he’s my lifeline. Hope he makes you smile too.

The last fireworks of the summer season in Bournemouth was supposed to be last week,but it was cancelled due to the weather and put on tonight. Have to say it was a lovely colourful display but quite chilly watching,was glad I put on my fleece. These are just a few,hope you like them?

So here’s one from the camera of my beautiful boy sat at Sandsfoot castle. I’ve taken a few over the years at this location,he does look gorgeous with the colourful display of flowers behind him. This was after walking the Rodwell trail and before he went for a swim. Such a happy young man.

Another one of my beautiful best friend. Taken yesterday in Weymouth at Sandsfoot castle,this is just the phone one when I pull my finger out,find some motivation and energy I’ll share one from the camera with him sat posing in front of the colourful gardens. Things hare are a bit tough at the moment,I’m struggling lots mentally and physically. This boy is my lifeline. Hope his gorgeous face makes you smile.

I’d been looking forward to the Sidmouth Air Show for a while knowing my favourite Red Arrows were displaying. Sadly the day before it got switched to 3 flypasts. By the time they were due to do there flypasts they were unable to fly due to thunderstorms at the airfield they were flying from. Really gutted but the flying from the other aircraft were amazing. It’s such a lovely spot by the sea and the aircraft flew really close despite the wind and showers. Thankfully we found a shelter during the heaviest shower and watched Rich Goodwin in his Jets Pitts muscle plane. Most of the photos I took of him were sadly very underexposed where I was trying to keep the camera dry. But the line up was amazing. Starting off with The Stampede display team,followed by the Navy Wings formation of Swordfish and the two smaller planes Chipmonk and Bulldog. Followed by Rich Goodwin and ending with the amazing Wingwalkers. This is just a small section still going through the photos I took! Hope you like them?

A rare clear sky when there’s an partial lunar eclipse. I wasn’t planning on being awake but fate decided I was so going to be awake so I took a few photos of the eclipse from by my house. It’s not the best cos like I said I had nothing planned so just handheld shots and the last one was up the road from our house and the moon was going down. So just various shots,to fine to a rough idea of the time scale the first shot was 03.57,second was 04.21, third shot was 4.47 and the final was when we saw 93% of the eclipse at 5.15 am. I don’t do early mornings if I can help it. Today im going to look even more of a zombie than usual but that’s the perks of anxiety and dealing with Dad and his dementia.

Every year while in Cornwall we visit Lands End where I watch there firework display entitled Magic in the Skies. This year they had planned a new drone show followed by the fireworks but as the hot weather was such a fire risk they cancelled that section and just had a drone show. I wasn’t sure what to expect and the photos don’t do it justice,long exposures with some of the shapes don’t work.others look quite magical. With the first and last house as the back drop it made for a stunning show. If you’re in Cornwall over the summer holidays I’d recommend watching it. Hope you like them?

While we had a week in Cornwall last week celebrating Dads 80th birthday,making memories and looking for our new bungalow I managed to make use of the clear skies and captured a couple of the Milky Way by St Micheals Mount. Different exposures giving a completely different feel. Would love to know which you prefer?

I know it’s more fireworks which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but Friday night saw the start of Lyme Regis carnival week....

I know it’s more fireworks which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but Friday night saw the start of Lyme Regis carnival week. I’ve been trying to see them from this vantage point every year,despite it being a steep hill to walk down or up I made the effort. Hope you like these photos overlooking The Cobb and harbour?
