This Pizza Hut permanently closed after its UK dine-in operator, DC London Pie Ltd, collapsed into administration.
The closures across the UK were driven by a perfect storm of financial struggles:
Company Insolvency: The UK dine-in franchise operation went into administration, forcing a massive restructuring that resulted in the closure of 68 restaurants nationwide.
Rising Operational Costs: Higher national living wages, increased National Insurance contributions, and inflation squeezed profit margins.
Changing Dining Habits: The brand faced fierce competition from modern independents and specialized pizza chains, which reduced demand for traditional dine-in buffets.

The Independent Methodist Church on founded in 1848 and built in 1868, is a Grade II listed building known for its exceptionally preserved, historic interior. As of late 2025, plans are in progress to convert this former chapel into nine apartments, aiming to ensure its long-term future

It is noted for a "completely intact interior" with original pews and a raked gallery, which is considered very rare for nonconformist chapels.

"The ground floor has open and box pews and pulpit.
"The raked gallery around a central oval well, has intact box pews throughout and organ behind the pulpit.
"This interior is exceptionally rare in such non-conformist chapels, most having been altered or lost entirely.
โ€œThe district has minimal other comparable examples.โ€

Over the last week or so it has seen local youths enter and cause damage to items inside and use paint to damage the floors and parts of the walls.

leaventhorpe hall bradford

Leaventhorpe Hall in Thornton, Bradford, is a 17th-century Grade II* listed building known for its historic, often derelict, stone structure and significant architectural features like oak-paneled rooms and leaded windows. Historically associated with the Midgley family, it has faced long-term decline, appearing on the Heritage at Risk Register, with various, sometimes controversial, plans proposed over decades to restore it and develop the surrounding green belt land.
Historical and Architectural Features
Origin: The hall dates back to the 17th century and is recognized as a significant "gem" of Yorkshire heritage.
Key Features: It features a massive gateway, solid black oak iron-studded doors, oak-paneled upper rooms, and unique leaded windows.
Significance: It was once owned by the Midgley family of Thornton, noted in military surveys from the times of Henry VIII and James I.
"At Risk" Status and Development
Heritage at Risk: The hall has been listed on the Heritage at Risk Register for several years due to its poor condition and vacancy.
Controversy and Development: In 2018, plans were discussed to restore the Grade II* listed hall and surrounding Grade II listed barns, while adding 30+ new homes to the site.
Ownership and Legal Issues: The site was bought by Anthony Gribbin in 2001, who faced legal issues regarding alterations made to the listed structures without consent.
Recent Status: As of 2018-2020, it was identified as empty and in need of restoration, with proposed projects aiming to create a sustainable future for the buildings
