The book that made it to Waterstones almost didn't get written.
I shelved Immortal Blessing twice. Convinced myself the market didn't want mythic fantasy with South Asian roots. Nobody would connect with an immortal protagonist who makes terrible choices.
Then a beta reader said, "This is the story I needed at 16. The one I never found."
So I finished it. Querying failed. So I indie-published. Built an audience one reader at a time.
And now? Waterstones called.
