Hello, I’m Minoo ( .hassanzadeh ) — a member of — taking over . I’m pleased to share a preview of my photobook dummy, Zone C.

I took trains without a destination, walked through streets and neighborhoods I had never seen before, and noticed small moments that usually go unnoticed — a gesture, a glance, a corner of a street. I photographed what caught my eye and what made me pause. This photobook gathers those images, along with the conversations and quiet moments that often go overlooked.

If you’re at the Bristol Photobook Festival in October, come and discover many inspiring photobook dummies by Fotobus members.

Hello, this is Jule wild ( .wild ) from the taking over the

I would like to introduce you to my photo book dummy.

On the 24th of February 2022 the impossible happened. Terror all over Ukraine.
Pure Chaos followed. „It ́s hell here“, coming from a train going through Kharkiv. My
friends from Kyiv stuck in place, roads so overcrowded that traffic could barely move.
„We hear explosions.“ Impossible messages from friends leaving homes behind, not
knowing if they would ever be able to return.
For the past three years I have been trying to capture my friends new reality, tried to
describe what is still barely graspable to me and what I never thought possible. I saw
how much strength everyday life can require and how to live in the here and now
when yesterday is so long ago and tomorrow isn ́t promised. How do you build new
routines in all the madness, cruelty and uncertainty? How do you recover a sense of
“normality“ when absolutely nothing is normal?

Look forward to many other great photo book dummies from Fotobus members.

Hello, this is Nora Handsley ( ) from the taking over the
Exited to share a glimpse of my first photobook dummy „Good luck around every turn“.

Obsessed with the everyday chaos around me, I felt that if I could just be part of it — if I went along with it, let myself be swept up in it — I’d be fine. The days blurred. I began to feel a strange dizziness, like something wasn’t quite right. Eventually, I found out it was caused by a malignant tumour, right in the middle of my head. That year became one of many goodbyes.

It’s not yet been released, but I hope that will change. If you’re at the festival in October, pop by the Fotobus and see this book alongside many other beautiful projects by members.

Hi, this is here taking over the Instagram. We’ll be sharing a few highlights from what we’ll be showcasing at the festival.

The Fotobus is a cultural and social initiative for all students studying photography, design, film, art, or media. With the Fotobus – a historic travel bus with 32 seats – excursions and research trips to regional, national, and international destinations are offered.

All costs, such as fuel, tolls, repairs, maintenance, insurance, vehicle taxes, food, accommodation, etc., are covered through donations, supporting memberships, and sponsorships. Special support is given to students who are financially disadvantaged or belong to a social minority.

The aim of our journeys is to contribute to European intercultural understanding, peacebuilding, and cultural as well as academic international exchange.

The activities of the Fotobus Society include photographic group projects, exhibitions, publications, workshops, visits to photo festivals, and collaborative projects with partner universities both in Germany and abroad.

Students are given the opportunity to build international professional networks and gain unique hands-on experience.
The Fotobus Society was founded in 2018 and is now the largest student photography network in the world, with over 1.700 members studying at more than 30 different universities across Germany and Europe.

At BOP 2025, we will bring many photobook dummies, sell our Further books, and present current photographic works through slideshows.

We are so happy about the invitation and look forward to seeing you and having interesting encounters.

has partnered with and to bring you an artist talk by for the BOP 25 festival weekend ⭐️

Daniel will tell the tale of his long-lost work: ‘Shuttles, Steam and Soot’ which he has reconstructed into a touring exhibition accompanied by three new publications. The talk will take place on SUN 12 OCT, 15.40 and be held in the MPF gallery 🎤

In the 1970s Daniel spent two years photographing the Bancroft Shed in Lancashire, the last remaining steam-powered cotton-weaving mill in the district. Against a backdrop of industrial decline, he documented the life of the mill, creating a remarkable portrait of the people who worked there and their disappearing trades.

Link in the bio for more info and tickets to join Daniel as he shares images and audio recordings from this rarely seen body of work. Followed by questions from the floor and a signing.

First up is our latest book ‘An Daras/ Portals by photographer and tattoo artist Inspired by the ancient landscape of West Penwith in Cornwall, Rosie takes a fine tuned look at the sites riddled with tales of witchcraft and folklore. Standing stones, Holy Wells and natural geology are Rosie’s main focus coupled with the traces that people have left behind at these sites.

The book includes a number of Rosie’s drawings, and a holographic sticker inspired by the folklore of West Penwith.
