I am looking forward to being back out on the mountains with the intrepid walkers taking on the Welsh 3 Peaks for Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice this weekend! It is going to be amazing! Waterproofs, inspect spray, sun cream and lots of snacks will be needed!

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Show has become a key date in the South Wales events calendar. Since the show's inception, Dawn Evans and her team have continued to bring together mental health professionals covering a diverse range of subjects. The 2026 show at the Cardiff City Stadium was busier than we have ever seen it. The show was opened by Deputy Lord Mayor of Cardiff Michael Michael and former Wales rugby player Glenn Webb, and included a passionate keynote address by the wonderful Phil Steele. Last week, we were back out on site at Pilamec with our old friend Simon Ayling. Pilamec Ltd provide specialist milling, blending, screening & re-packaging solutions for the chemical, metal and ceramic industries. After recently relocating following ongoing growth, we were on site to photograph the new premises and the equipment, including the specialist white materials processing plant. And Tom worked his magic with the drone, another service we can now offer our clients.

This Saturday morning I spent an hour with Mark Powell and his family who have organised heart screening for young people at Risca Rugby Club. The two-day screening was in memory of his son Craig and the response from the local community has been incredible. Run by Cardiac Risk in the Young, the weekend's sessions are completely booked, highlighting the importance and need for such screening.

On Friday 22nd May, Tom and I had the pleasure of photographing the Maggie's Swansea 30th Anniversary Ball at the Brangwyn Hall in Swansea. The evening celebrated 30 years since Maggie's opened their first centre in Edinburgh. And what an evening. Hosted by Mal Pope, with performances from Bronwen Lewis Music and The Thrillionaires, guests were entertained throughout dinner by three close-up magicians. Thanks to everyone who gave us a smile!
