Gorgeous long eared owl a couple of mornings ago
Hadn’t seen it after a hour long search then walked back to the car and it appeared from the trees, diving unsuccessfully for a vole, but giving me a fantastic view in the process!!!

A fantastic encounter on the quantocks with this inquisitive little wood warbler😲
I just sat down for lunch in a clearing and saw this stunning wood warbler high up in a tree
It then flew down onto a lower perch and allowed me to capture this shot📸
I couldn’t believe my luck, certainly a productive lunch break😁

Whilst watching around 10 male black grouse at a distance, I looked closer to the car and spotted a curlew, when I spotted this stunning female black grouse🤩
She was just sat there posing allowing me to snap this shot of her📸
