As it’s today I thought I’d introduce the man behind Chimera Photographic and the camera (a Canon UK and Ireland EOSR6MKII with various lenses).

My name is Chris and I’ve been involved in photography for over 25 years, shooting anything from people, travel, motorsport, wildlife, land & nightscapes. As you will see from my IG portfolio it is very varied.

Photography takes me away from my full time employment, which at times can be rather stressful and I see things that no one should ever see, so picking up the camera helps with my mental health and well being.

I am self taught with the odd video / tutorial being watched and Chimera Photographic was born in 2016 after I suffered a mental breakdown and I needed a new identity for my photography.

My growth via social media has been rather slow and I still have less that 1000 followers, however to those who do follow me and continue to support me, thank you 🙏🏻.

Now that my Nights are over and thank heavens after last nights travels!!! (Over 100 miles in the shift!!), I have been able to download my Eclipse images from Wednesday Night and give them a little edit in Lightroom.....so here are the remaining ones, probably could still do with some editing, but anyway.

All taken handheld using my Canon UK and Ireland EOSR6MKII with the RF100-500mm attached using KaseFiltersUK Filters UK ND Filters.
