Here’s a little glimpse at life lately 🤍

Featuring: sea swims, cobbles, local feline royalty (Sweetpea, Bree and Sailor 😻), a posing peacock, my new seagull bestie, lots of jellyfish and some little moments that have been beautiful recently.

The weather can’t quite make up its mind - one day we were dodging downpours, the next we’re basking in a heatwave and this morning we woke up wrapped in a thick sea mist! It’s been another gloriously hot day though…

I’m so grateful we get to call this place home.

With love on Father’s Day 🤍

Today, my thoughts are with anyone living with loss and longing - not just on Father’s Day, but every day.

I just want to take a moment to celebrate my boys. They’re teenagers now - and every single day I’m in awe of their resilience and spirit.

They experienced a tragic loss when they were little - something that quietly sits in the background of our lives and always will.

Thankfully, life these days is generally happy (if a little chaotic!) and we’ve worked hard to ensure that their loss does not define them.

With huge love and eternal gratitude to our incredible extended family, who have been beside us every step of the way. ✨🤍✨

Parenthood is about unconditional love, showing up and being there. It’s not simply about DNA. So, to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, lone parents, carers, godparents and the people who offer love, guidance and support - THANK YOU. You are amazing!

So very grateful to call this beautiful place home 🤍 My boys were born here, so they’ve never known living anywhere else but Clovelly…

Life at Crazy Kate’s Cottage means our “garden” is this breathtaking 14th-century fishing harbour and sometimes, we’re lucky enough to have the place (almost) to ourselves… 🙌

Another glorious morning at St Peter’s Chapel today!

Gina’s cakes are already the stuff of legend. This time, she truly outdid herself with the biggest, most beautiful chocolate cake imaginable! 😍🍫🍰

Sunshine streaming through the windows, endless cups of tea and coffee, and lovely visitors from all over the UK - as well as some from as far away as Australia! We even found ourselves becoming part of an Italian guided tour of Clovelly.

Dolly and I feel incredibly blessed to call Clovelly home - and to play a small part in keeping St Peter’s Chapel open and loved for future generations.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who takes a little time out of their day to support these endeavours, helping to keep this very special place thriving. 🫶

So… I accidentally took six weeks off social media 🌊😅✨

Not intentionally - life has just been moving very fast lately and honestly it’s felt like there haven’t been enough hours in the day.

Somewhere in amongst the chaos though, there have been so many beautiful moments and I’m really grateful for that.

A misty afternoon walk from the workshop for me and after the school bus for him… and somehow my boy is already miles ahead, even though we set off together - apparently I walk too slowly and I’m too easily distracted by the cats… He’s absolutely right of course! 😻

Palm Sunday in Clovelly.
🌿🌸🫏💒🤍

A beautiful service at All Saints Church, led by Revd. Andrew McWilliam, setting a reflective and uplifting tone for the day.

Then Clovelly donkeys Bert and Alfred, stole our hearts as they joined the service and led the way from the church, through Clovelly Court Gardens, along the Long Walk, down the cobbles and on to the New Inn.

A wonderful Clovelly day.
