After a great deal of reflection, I’ve decided that I’ll be slowly stepping down from photography.
This hasn’t been a quick or easy decision. Photography has been more than just a job for me - it’s been years of early mornings, golden-hour light, editing late into the night, laughter in the studio, and the privilege of capturing moments that matter. I’m incredibly grateful for every client who has trusted me with their memories. This decision comes from a place of growth. For a long time now, another dream has been quietly waiting in the background - my equestrian dream. Horses have always had my heart, and it’s time for me to follow that pull properly and wholeheartedly. It feels both terrifying and incredibly right.
Over the coming months, I’ll be gradually selling studio items and scaling things back behind the scenes. However, I want to reassure everyone that I’ll still be working and taking limited new bookings right through to the end of this year.
This has been far more than just a business to me. It’s been years of early mornings chasing soft light, long editing nights, coffee-fuelled gallery deliveries, nervous wedding mornings, newborn foal and puppy cuddles, and so many conversations that turned clients into friends. You’ve trusted me with the moments that matter most - and that is something I will never take lightly.
To everyone who has supported my small business, shared my work, recommended me to friends, or stepped in front of my lens - thank you. Truly. Your support has meant more than you probably realise.
Closing this chapter is emotional because photography has shaped so much of who I am. It’s given me purpose, creativity, resilience, and the most wonderful community. Every single booking, recommendation, kind review, and shared post has helped build this little business into something I’m so proud of.
I will post any studio sales in the coming weeks.
Here’s to finishing this chapter well.
With huge thanks and appreciate to each and everyone of you,
Jade
