Grateful for this lovely feedback from Made in Merton after filming their Print + Stitch Together project at NEMCA đź’›

“Made in Merton loved working with Big Grin Media… He captured the essence of what we do in an engaging video… friendly and thoughtful, which helped to put everyone at ease, and showed the project in the best light.”

Community projects are always about more than the activity. They’re about connection, confidence and creativity. My job is to create a space where people feel comfortable enough to be themselves — that’s when the real story shows up.

Thank you to everyone involved ✨

From 5-year-olds to the elderly—this is what community looks like. 🎨

The "Print and Stitch Together" project by Made in Merton isn't just about fabric; it’s about connection. From sparking new creative passions to collaborating with Little Ark who's volunteers are from all parts of the community including the local Hong Kong Chinese community, the impact is "inspiring."

My role? I help groups like Made in Merton tell their story by creating a relaxed space where voices can be heard.

If you need more than just spreadsheets to show your impact, let's talk. I provide high-quality video assets that turn community joy into powerful evidence for your next funding report.

Stats tell. Stories sell. 🎥

“The photos are incredible — capturing every emotion and all the key moments of the play.”

It was a real pleasure photographing Ruckus Theatre Co. at the Camden Fringe. Live performance requires sensitive, story led documentation, and it's always rewarding when the work resonates with the cast.

If you're commissioning photography for theatre or arts projects, this is exactly the kind of work I love to do.

Croydon Loves You is back with even more funding support available for delivering creative programmes that boost health and wellbeing! đź’š

Last year, we funded a total of 40 projects – from crochet to choral singing – which helped to support residents in Croydon at risk of health inequalities.

Now we’ve secured a total of £185,000 to support even more projects and applications are now open. Successful projects might include:

🎨Visual Arts, like painting, ceramics and jewellery making
🎭Performing arts, like music, theatre, dance, spoken word and puppetry
📝Literary arts: creative writing, poetry, literature, drama
🍳Creative skills such as garden design, cooking/baking, woodworking, upcycling
🌳Any creative activities happening in nature

Evidence shows that participating in creative activities can have many benefits to health, such as reducing social isolation, improving symptoms of depression or anxiety or increasing physical activity.

That’s why we’re embedding it as part of our Public Health strategy to tackle health inequalities in Croydon and become a healthier borough!

🎭 Cultural participation isn’t staged — it happens in real time.

We specialise in documentary photography, capturing live performances and workshops as they unfold. Working discreetly in libraries, theatres, and public spaces, we focus on what’s real.

The result? Authentic imagery that reflects the true spirit of your programme — ideal for reporting, funding, and public communications.

Feedback like this really matters — especially in public-facing, community settings where empathy and professionalism are just as important as technical skill.

If you’re a cultural organisation, public sector body, or non-profit looking for a filmmaker or photographer who understands people as well as process, let’s work together.

🎬 Case Study: Using video to communicate impact

For I Mean Business, we created a promotional video centred on attendee testimonials — showcasing the tangible benefits of joining the group through honest, relatable stories.

Video is a powerful tool for attracting the right audience by letting your community speak for you.
