A while ago .a.campbell lent me a small tripod, now she demanded back 😝 well, that was a good enough reason to meet up in Glencoe for a shoot and a catch up☺️ we also met who was visiting Glencoe too!

One of my first stops was the well shot waterfall looking at the Buachaille etive mor, where I met who we have followed eachother already but never met! Had a cracking day, snow, rain, sun and wind, sometimes at the same time, typical March in Scotland.

This shot I took from the rowan tree (tree behind me lol) whilst Fiona and Ian tried to run away from me. Thanks to my tracking skills, they were swiftly traced lol

Winter Magic

I visited a few times now and this won't be my last! I can't wait to actually do the Munro's around this area and to discover it properly.

It was definitely a challenge to shoot in deep snow, even just to get there was rather exhausting and then to get down to the burn...it was fun 🤣 everything looks the same in front of you until your foot goes through a who, straight into the water 🤣

I know this image looks like a black and white but it's actually not 🤣 although there wasn't much colour in the scene apart from the warm light coming through the clouds. Still, it was amazing!

Also, can you spot the hiker/climber?

Grey morning, Loch Lomond

This morning (21/2/26) me and headed out to Loch Lomond, an area I haven't shot that much at all.

Sadly, sunrise was pretty much non existent but isn't always stunning sunrises and epic light! It was a great and well a needed catch up.

Just imagine Ben Lomond in the background 🤣 maybe next time I actually manage to capture her lol until then, this will do.

This was a 25sec long exposure that I achieved with my 6stop magnetic filter. I think I used around f9-f11 and ISO100, if that's important to you

Scottish Winter Opera, Creag Meagaidh

A few weeks ago when the snow hit, I knew I had to head north and make the most of it. I wasn’t chasing sunrise. The forecast was grey. That was the whole point. I wanted mood.

I was first out of the car park. No footprints. No visible path. Just white, fluffy snow everywhere. It looked fantastic!

Turns out being first isn’t always a win. Especially when the snow is knee deep.
At one point I walked straight into a drift that was up to eye level. That was interesting to jump into 🤣

This was one of the few shots I managed that morning between wading, slipping and questioning my life choices.

Roll on more winter magic.

Moody Glen Etive

The other week, I got a rare, quiet moment in Glen Etive — mainly because all the other photographers stopped one bend behind me🤣 so I had the mist and drama all to myself. Scotland’s natural fog machine was working overtime, turning the whole valley into a walking in painting. Just the way I like it 😅

This morning didn't go without events... As I was overtaking (I did that a fair bit🤣) my car gave me a check engine light (it was the glow plug one). And that was like 30mins in the trip. The car was fine at the end, it just had a hissy fit as it was early in the morning 🤣

I think I got next year's calendar's November ☺️ What do you think?

"Before the rain"

The other morning I decided to go to the Trossachs for sunrise before the wet weather arrived...well, I didn't make it 🤣

Woke up a little too late and I wouldn't have made it there so in the last minute I decided to nip over to Kirkcaldy Seafield Beach as I've never been there before.

On the very short drive I could see amazing colours! I was well before sunrise but you usually get the best colours a good half an hour before and I was worried I would miss all of it.

Not knowing what to shoot or which way to go once I parked the car, I went straight down to the beach. I then noticed this concrete line (no idea what it is) and I thought "That will do".

So here it is...

Miracle of the Season: No One Else at The Hermitage

A rare quiet moment (only lasted for a moment, literally) at The Hermitage, without another tripod or photographer in sight — a small autumn miracle in itself! The colours, the calm, and that gentle light made it all worth the early rise.

Obviously not long after I took this photo hundreds of other photographers arrived and the place was busier then the Royal Mile in August 🤣

Ended the walk with a nice coffee and a couple of doughnuts from Scott at .circle.donuts

Autumn is here and Scotland will soon be in her golden cover (unless storm Amy blows it away)!

Can't wait to get out during one of my favourite seasons of all! Looking forward to it big time! I really hope the leaves last for a bit longer!

Calendar update!

All images have now been sent to the printers! They will then create a digital proof. Once I approve that, the pre-order will open. Then they will send me 3x copies to check the quality and colours, etc. Once that is approved by me, they will print the millions of copies I order and send all of them to me, turning my house into a warehouse for a few months 🤣

It's all fun and games!
