BIIIIG TIIIIME WINNERS!! 🏆⚡
After a manic week of filming and a very necessary weekend escape to Amsterdam, we’ve returned home to discover that we are the FIRST EVER recipients of the Best Video Design Award at the inaugural Fringe Theatre Awards for Be More Chill at the The Old Joint Stock Theatre 🎭🔥
Sadly we couldn’t make the ceremony… so naturally we photoshopped Liam into the winners photo behind Emily and James. Seamless work. Nobody will notice. 👀
Honestly? Completely gobsmacked and incredibly grateful. A lot of blood, sweat and terabytes went into this show — but even more love and passion. Be More Chill means so much to so many people, and we feel ridiculously lucky to have left our little Easter egg-filled, video game-loaded stamp on it.
Digital media and videography are becoming more and more intertwined with the magic of live theatre, and when those worlds collide, it creates something so exciting, immersive and gloriously extra. Huge thank you to the Fringe Theatre Awards for recognising this creative synergy.
Massive congratulations to the entire cast and crew who made this show what it was. Special love to Theatre SSL and Paul Finch for the insane amount of programming and tech wizardry behind the scenes — without them, these videos would still be sitting in a cloud drive somewhere.
And finally, to our brilliant collaborators and close friends James Edge and Emily Susanne Lloyd: thank you for taking us off the leash and letting us run wild with the weirdest ideas imaginable.
