A large scale drone display took place in New York to commemorate the massive loss of life 25 years ago in the 9/11 terrorist attack.

2,977 drones were used, one each to represent a victim of the attack in 2001.

📍 George Square - Glasgow

Now partially open, at the Queen Street Station end while work continues. It looks like a lot of block paving still has to go down but from what I can see the overall appearance will be an improvement on what’s gone before.

Two towering steel figures rise above Coronation Park in Port Glasgow, known locally as the Skelpies. These 33-foot stainless-steel shipbuilders, created by John McKenna, honour the riveters and welders who once made the Lower Clyde famous. Their plated, ribbed forms echo the very ships they commemorate. From the air they stand against the water, Ferguson’s yard nearby and the Firth of Clyde stretching beyond. A slow circling drone shot reveals their monumental scale and the town they watch over—a proud, hard-won tribute to an industry that built the world and a community that still remembers.

An edit of one of my photographs of the iconic former Beresford Hotel at 460 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

Opened in 1938 it has served a number of functions, as hotel, war time billet and more recently as student accommodation.

It is where JFK gave his first public address aged just 22.

It is a category B listed building.
