🌸Thank you so much! 🌸
Just wanted to pop in and say a massive thank you for all the lovely comments and love on Thursday’s poppy post! It means the world!
______

While we’re at it, too … I’ve also been busy in the studio!
▪️Added A5 options across all prints on Etsy
▪️Launching photo prints (the first one is going to be released next week!)
▪️New wood frame versions so you can see the difference between my illustrated art and the photographic ones.

I also thought to make a thank you card from scratch using Adobe, and it’s giving a lot of charm, honestly tbh 😂

If you loved the poppies, keep an eye out — What’s your favourite flower or landscape to see in art?
Drop it below in the comments 🙂👇

🌺 Week 4 of the Playable Locations series!

This week, I went full liminal and created a pocket realm you can trap your players in 😈
Think Backrooms meets gothic folk-horror and a bit of SCI-FI too!

Welcome to THE POPPY YARDS 🌺
Endless blood-red poppy fields in a perfect pristine grid… random buildings from every era scattered with no logic… distant slamming doors… and things lurking just beneath the flowers.

Fully system-agnostic — easily dropped into any TTRPG!
Would your party escape?

If you enjoy my playable locations, I post a new one every Friday — so like, comment, and share! It really helps indie creators like me keep the series going.

Did these too today at RTMinds — cause you never waste paper! 😂

Normally I use scrap paper for colour swatches, random patterns, or font/writing practice… but this time I used the cut-away bits from the poppy pencil sketch and turned them into these little bookmark-style pieces. Just letting the colours bleed, playing with drips, and messing around.

They could honestly be used for anything — bookmarks, tags, collage bits, whatever!
My favourites are probably the 3rd or 4th one right now… but I’ll probably change my mind tomorrow 😂

What do you guys use your scrap paper for art-wise? 👇

Art Day Thursdays 🌸

Lately, I’ve been completely captivated by poppies. They started growing wild in the garden, and I just had to paint them! So at RTMinds this morning, I finally did.

Took some photos of the ones outside→ did a quick pencil sketch → then painted this softer A5 watercolour straight over the pencil lines.

I love how it turned out; it looks so nice. 💕

More poppy pieces coming soon — a location card drops tomorrow and a new poppy art print releases on Saturday!

INTRO-
────────────────────────
Well, I’ve been digging through photos I’ve taken over the months and years to see if any of them spark drawing or painting ideas. I’d honestly forgotten about a few of them until now.

MAIN-
────────────────────────
While writing this, I remembered my dad’s idea, which he gave me a few days/ weeks ago — making a set of pieces based on Alderney, using the photos my family took on our trips there.

Looking through everything — and I’ve attached quite a few for you to look at — reminded me how much I’ve always loved Alderney and the Channel Islands. The history is incredible: early Roman and pagan traces, medieval stories, the World War years, and everything up to modern day. And the folklore is odd in the best way.

On one of the first trips, I read Alderney: The Devil’s Rock by Ravenscroft and Black, and it stuck with me. I’ve always been fascinated with folklore.

I even pitched a story at uni about Alderney in WW2, looking at the stories from every side — based on family stories, research, and wider accounts — but that’s a different story for another time.

CONCLUSION-
────────────────────────
It’s a bit of an odd message, but I thought I’d share the plans for some future art prints — and maybe even full original artworks I might sell too, not just prints. This’ll be in the future, or something I might start soon. I’m having a break day today before the next three days, so I thought I’d do something different for today’s post and also tonight's post too!
