INTRO-
────────────────────────
Well, I’ve been digging through photos I’ve taken over the months and years to see if any of them spark drawing or painting ideas. I’d honestly forgotten about a few of them until now.

While writing this, I remembered my dad’s idea, which he gave me a few days/ weeks ago — making a set of pieces based on Alderney, using the photos my family took on our trips there.
Looking through everything — and I’ve attached quite a few for you to look at — reminded me how much I’ve always loved Alderney and the Channel Islands. The history is incredible: early Roman and pagan traces, medieval stories, the World War years, and everything up to modern day. And the folklore is odd in the best way.
On one of the first trips, I read Alderney: The Devil’s Rock by Ravenscroft and Black, and it stuck with me. I’ve always been fascinated with folklore.
I even pitched a story at uni about Alderney in WW2, looking at the stories from every side — based on family stories, research, and wider accounts — but that’s a different story for another time.
CONCLUSION-

It’s a bit of an odd message, but I thought I’d share the plans for some future art prints — and maybe even full original artworks I might sell too, not just prints. This’ll be in the future, or something I might start soon. I’m having a break day today before the next three days, so I thought I’d do something different for today’s post and also tonight's post too!
