I love my couples and their guests to play, dance, swear, joke, kiss, cuddle – do whatever they want – that’s where the real moments, emotions, expressions and awesomeness comes from. I’m not just your photographer, I’m your friend who can laugh, joke and take part in your wedding with you and your guests. I leave every wedding feeling part of the family. My goal with every wedding, elopement, des

Nicole and Matt at Whitworth Hall, what a day.

These two first met on a night out in Wakefield nearly 11 years ago. The exact details might be a bit blurry now, but what they do remember is getting on easily from the start and having a proper laugh together. At first, there was a bit of distance between them, with Nicole in Barnsley and Matt in Chester-le-Street, but after a move north for uni, and then her mum following a year later, everything seemed to fall into place nicely.

Their wedding was exactly what they wanted it to be, relaxed, happy, full of love, and centred around the people who mean the most to them. Immediate family and close friends during the day, more loved ones joining in the evening, good food, good drinks, and a proper party to finish. Having their grandparents there meant so much too, and those are the kind of moments that make a wedding feel really special.

There’s something lovely about a day where the main plan is simple: no stress, no rush, just laughter, real moments, and everyone enjoying themselves. From getting ready in the morning, to seeing each other at the ceremony, walking back down the aisle as husband and wife, confetti flying, everyone cheering, and that feeling of pure happiness.

Relaxed, fun, unforgettable. Exactly as it should be.

Amy-Louise and Aidan, what a day.

These two first met on Bumble back in August 2018, before a first date in London that started with a non-existent pub, a slightly confused phone call, and Amy virtually downing a glass of wine while waiting. Luckily, they found the White Hart, followed it up with Italian food near Waterloo, a trip to the South Bank arcades, and had already arranged date two before date one had even finished. Strong start.

Their wedding at The Chester Fields was exactly what they wanted, fun, relaxed, personal, and full of the people they love most. The venue gave them that perfect mix of barn-like charm and lovely pub energy, with the freedom to shape the day in a way that felt like them. Less stress, more laughter, and a great big party at the end.

There were so many brilliant personal touches throughout. Cocktails inspired by their cats, Bonnie and Bow. Handheld cat faces ready for the dance floor. Table details based around favourite books. And instead of a cake, a cheese tower, because when your local cheese tasting night is a calendar highlight, it would be rude not to.

For Amy, the big moments were walking down the aisle with her dad and finally getting to dance without worrying about a thing. For Aidan, it was seeing Amy walk in and getting to share the day with everyone. Loving, but not too soppy. Personal, but still full of laughs. Exactly them.

Fun, relaxed, personal. And absolutely worth cutting into the cheese for.

Lorraine and Tom at Davenport House in Shropshire, what a story.

These two first crossed paths properly at college, in a German AS level class where Tom was the only boy in the room. It took a little while before they actually got together, but once they did, things moved in that lovely, quietly serious way. After 18 months, Lorraine moved back from Nottingham and in with Tom and his family at just 19, so they could finally be in the same county. Some love stories don’t need a big dramatic moment, they just steadily become home.

Their wedding was planned to feel romantic, elegant and traditional, but with a few modern twists that made it completely theirs. Family was a huge part of the day, with loved ones travelling from Germany, Lincolnshire and beyond. There were so many thoughtful touches too, from Lorraine’s mum making her veil, to flowers inspired by their favourite colours and a David Austin rose, to a wedding cake flavour that nodded to Lorraine’s German grandmother and the raspberry chocolate gateaux she used to make.

And of course, Barnaby, their five-year-old golden retriever, had to be part of it all. Davenport House was chosen with him in mind, but it also gave them everything they wanted, history, atmosphere, a grand hall, and a staircase made for an emotional ceremony entrance. Lorraine’s dress was beautifully simple with a twist, Tom went for a custom beige Italian-cut suit with their initials and wedding date stitched inside, and the whole day had that relaxed, romantic feeling they hoped for.

Seeing each other at the ceremony was always going to be the moment. Add in family, food, cake, Barnaby, and a room full of people simply enjoying the day together, and you’ve got something properly special.
Romantic, elegant, modern. Lush from start to finish.

Georgia and Patrick at the brilliant Capheaton Hall.

These two first met on a student night out at Tiger Tiger, which feels like a proper throwback love story. First impressions were simple enough, Patrick was tall and good looking, Georgia was fun and easy going. But the moment things started to feel a bit more serious was when Patrick drove Georgia to Birmingham so she could meet her dad for a lift home, despite Patrick living in North Wales. Fair play, that’s a proper early doors green flag.

Their wedding was all about keeping things relaxed, authentic, and fun. Capheaton Hall gave them the freedom to make the day feel completely theirs, with their favourite restaurant doing the food, their favourite wines being served, notes for guests, sharing food, no cake, and a very short first dance. Basically, all the good stuff without any of the wedding factory feeling.

There were so many lovely little details throughout the day. Patrick chose a suit to last a lifetime, in his words, “one I’ll get buried in”, while Georgia went for something classic with a twist. The main thing for them was having all of their favourite people together, eating well, drinking well, catching up, and having a lush time. A cold beer for Patrick, lemon top pavlova for Georgia, and a dance floor probably built around 90s and 00s garage and R&B.

What a joy to photograph. Natural, relaxed, and full of the kind of moments you can’t stage.

Will and Jason at the amazing Howsham Hall in York.

Like all great love stories, these two met on Tinder. First impressions were strong, mainly Jason’s height, Will’s hair, and a pair of black acid wash skinny jeans that clearly made an impact. But somewhere between that first swipe and getting snowed in together in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere, things became very real.

Their wedding was everything they hoped for, classic, joyful, full of love, laughter, and all of their favourite people in one place. Howsham Hall felt like the perfect setting from the moment they saw it, the kind of place they said they could imagine living in, which is always a good sign.

There were so many lovely personal touches too. Will wore his granddad’s watch, while Jason wore his dad’s watch and one of his dad’s cufflinks. Beige linen, dusty sage, a room full of emotion, and of course, because it wouldn’t be a gay wedding without one, a drag queen DJ.

What a day. Lush from start to finish.
