Ventured out on the bike π² today for a "little ride" 38.2 miles π
No camera with me (Gutted) so phone photos will have to do..
I started from the Eastbourne Pier, rode up the promenade towards Holywell and on to the start of the South Downs way. From there I went along past beachyhead, around Belle Tout Lighthouse and down towards birling gap. (Took a 5 minute break to admire one of my favourite place).
From there, up King Charles ||| England Coast path and across to crowlink pond at the top of the Friston Hill. Trough Jevington all the way to Polegate Cop Hall roundabout, down the A22 to Hailsham where I joint the Cuckoo Trail back toward Polegate.
After reaching Polegate again.. I went towards Stonecross and took Peelings Lane, arriving at Pevensey and Westham highstreet (Took a 5 minute break at Pevensey Castle because why not) From there I ventured Through Pevensey Bay highstreet, on towards and through Sovereign Harbour until I came out at Martello Tower number 66.
The adventure then took me along the seafront where I turned off at the Sovereign Centre, down Lottbridge Drove in to Hampden Park and around the pond.
Ohhh it continues..
After contemplating the short or long way home, I opted for the long way back to town and decided it would be a great idea to ride to the top of Butt's Brow via Butt Lane. (If you know the road, you'll know it's steep) once I reached the top, I continue along towards the Top of the East Dean Road (Downs golf club end) across the road and down to Upper Dukes Drive, where I followed the road back down to join the promenade at Holywell for the final stretch along the seafront back to the Pier.
Writing that seemed more exhausting that the actual ride π
