Tim Edgeler Photography

Tim Edgeler Photography Perthshire based creative photographer & videographer. Fully licensed by the UK CAA to undertake co I am a creative photographer based in Edinburgh.

I enjoy capturing images that show subjects in a way you wouldn't normally see. This started out with mountain bike photography where you can capture a rider in a split second which actually then got me interested in the exact opposite - long exposure photography. This is where I have had the most fun with the camera - using light trails and long exposures to create unique imagery. I also enjoy cr

eating timelapse videos which shows you the familiar at an unfamiliar speed! I am also a full qualified UAV (drone) operator in the UK with a Permission from Aerial Work granted by the CAA-UK.

It's been far too long since I cut together a showreel and what better time to remind yourself of the stunning beauty of Scotland when the weather is...well, slightly less favourable outside!

The past few years flying with the drone has taken me to some truely incredible landscapes and had the opportunity to film some really great people and places! Here is to 2020 being just as good...

Enjoy :)

Here's a little timelapse from my perspective last night at the Torchlight Procession 2019 as it arrived in Holyrood Park. Keep an eye out for the moon setting and all the people moving around on the Crags!

Happy Hogmanay everyone - see you in 2020!

Can't get enough of these Autumnal colours and the low, warm, saturated sunlight!

A wee behind the scenes look at how we made the one take music video for Petrichor's new album Narisshu - out now on Soma Records!

Also, not a fan of seeing myself that side of the lens - much prefer hiding on the other side!

Delighted to finally be able to share this!

A day spent in, what is now, subSine | Academy of Electronic Music, pulling together this one-shot, setup building, visual feast all in the aid of Petrichor's new album, Narisshu, that comes out tomorrow on Soma Records.

Give it a watch and understand that this took so, so, so many takes to get it right! Concept created, built, filmed and demolished in a 12 hour period with a core team of 3 (me, Simon Stokes and Matthew Ralph) and 3 behind the scenes helpers (Instruo, Darran Dunsmore & Michael)

Behind The Scenes video comes out next week...

Happy New Year (I think I can still get away with that...just!)

While 2018 was a busy one I wasn't particularly active on here. While I am not making any specific resolutions I'll definitely do better at posting what I have been getting up to!

Here are a few shots of the Torchlight Procession in Holyrood Park, which was one of the many events that took part during Edinburgh's Hogmanay (you might have seen the first one on the front cover of the The Scotsman on 31st December!)

Another awesome night with the best view in the city of the lights turn on and fireworks! We even got treated to a little bit of colour in the sky! More photos to come tomorrow!

On the way back from climbing Ben Nevis at the weekend (in less than ideal conditions!) I stopped off in one of the most incredible landscapes in Scotland: Glencoe.

I captured this 360º view which features Buachaille Etive Mòr (and Glen Etive), Glencoe, Glencoe Mountain Resort, Kings House Hotel, Glencoe and the A82 snaking its way up the glen...

Scotland is the best.

ps. For those of you who are interested, this is 68 photos stitched together!

I have just spent the most amazing 3 weeks travelling around Vietnam and have totally fallen in love. I have never visited a tropical country before and was completely bowled over by the how vibrant the colours are when under a tropical sun. On top of that, every night you are treated to the most incredible sunsets which we just don't get this far North.

This was taken on our last night on the island of Phú Quốc and I managed to find some fisherman on the rocks to add a bit of foreground interest to the scene.
