High speed sports photography isn’t usually my thing, I thought the pace of the work and all the dirt, mess and crazy boy stuff wouldn’t fit my style of photos but I was wrong. I loved it. We had been through a very tough week - had to say goodbye to the most amazing therapy cat that has been with us for 12 yrs. She was the kind of superhero character that would be on a bike if she could. Everything reminded us of her at home, the insomnia from my daughter’s grief was intense and we needed a change. Sometimes a change of environment can shift our minds and emotions, it worked and not only that I found because the work is fast it forced me to focus. Like a version of meditation, my camera is my safe place and I’m very happy I picked it up on Saturday morning and jumped in the car 😊
