A little Back to School apology…

A little apology from me for not being quite my usual chirpy self at the Back to School sessions on Saturday.

After an emergency trip to Morecambe on Friday night, I wasn’t feeling my best on Saturday and I’m still in a fair amount of pain today. 🥴

I did my very best to keep smiling and get everyone’s photos done, but I know I probably wasn’t quite my usual bubbly self!

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and I really hope you love your photos. 📸💙

💜 COMMUNITY CALL-OUT 💜

I'm donating a one-hour photography session to Behind Closed Doors for their October community ribbon competition and pop-up events supporting families affected by domestic abuse across Wyre and the surrounding areas.
The session can be indoor or outdoor, so whoever wins can choose what suits them best.

But I'm putting a shout-out to other local businesses and community members...

Well… apparently Donna Buston Photography has been nominated for the Local Visual Media Award 2026.
I honestly wasn't expecting it, and I'm incredibly grateful to whoever took the time to put my name forward.
Photography has always been about far more than taking pretty pictures for me. It's about people, memories, community and giving people opportunities they might not otherwise have.
Whether I make the Final 6 or not, knowing someone thought my work was worthy of a nomination genuinely means a lot.

And that's me done shouting about it now. 😂 back to 60 hours a week working 😭👀🤣
