If there is one artist that made me stop and listen to every word of the lyrics, it was surely gonna be Badly Drawn Boy

For the first time during the entire musicfest I was being less of a photographer but more of admirer of someone’s songs. The lyrics do touch your heart ❤️. Amazing songs and amazing storytelling 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. The crowd certainly had a good time 😍

Inspiral Carpets performed the final act on the main stage of MUSICFEST and what an absolute mind blowing performance it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The whole stadium gathered to listen to this masterpiece. We all knew what was coming but it still surprised me. Managed to captured some good shots both from behind stage as well as from the front.

MUSICFEST MAINSTAGE 2026-Saturday Sep 5

Thanks to Glasgow Kelvin College and Bothwell Scarecrow Festival, me and other students of the college had the opportunity to photograph the musicfest in Uddinsgton and what an amazing experience it has been so far. This was my first musicfest I was covering and it touched my heart ❤️.

Over the coming days I will be sharing several artist specific posts as well as photos from musicfest taken around the main stage.

I had to start this series with Rianne Downey which sang several fan favourite songs including “The song of Old Glencoe” which was my personal favourite. Anyone who knows me and my work knows my attachment with Glencoe and Buachaille Etive Mòr 😍😍. She was definitely fan favourite and it was shown by the long queue of people wanting to meet and take photos with her.

Heavy rain, speeding cars, traffic cones and a few puddles doing their best impression of Gotham’s streets.

Not quite the Batmobile… but I’ll take it. 😉

PS: Someone was being very naughty/rude last night. Be nice to people of Glasgow. They are just there to have a good time. I mean the tagline is literally “People Make Glasgow” Wish I could say more….

When Glasgow Became Gotham

There are moments as a photographer when you look around and realise you’re witnessing something you never expected to see through your viewfinder.

Over the past few weeks, Glasgow has been transformed. Familiar streets have become Gotham, ordinary corners have turned into film sets, and suddenly there are Gotham police cars, American trucks and an atmosphere that feels like it belongs in another world.

Being able to photograph this unfolding around the city has been an incredible experience. Watching a major Batman production bring this strange, cinematic world to Glasgow — and being there with a camera to document it — is something I don’t think I’ll ever take for granted.

For a city I’ve photographed for years mostly at night time, seeing Glasgow dressed as Gotham has made me look at it completely differently.

And honestly… what an experience it has been so far. 🦇

Some set photos from streets of Glasgow. Sorry I meant streets of Gotham 😎. Batman sequel shooting had its first break today. Filming resumes from Tuesday.

The incredible architecture along the Bothwell street does bring in American vibes and justifies why so many production houses have recently been filming in Glasgow. It’s also a great opportunity for friends and family including children to experience atmosphere of movie sets from such big production houses. If you are in city or living close by Glasgow, I would seriously encourage you to visit over coming days.

After finishing in next few days on Bothwell street the shooting will then shift near Kingston bridge (underneath).

Also super thanks to everyone who has been following along and supporting positively. All the late nights, standing sometimes in heavy rain, all is worth it 😊🙌
