A superb day with my mate Chris Holland in Scotlandā€™s west coast today. We paddled from Portencross and circled wee Cumbrae anti-clockwise, making it as far as Dunnagoil Bay on the south west coast of Bute. The wind was against us all the way.

After lunch and a wee walk, and then some banter with the farm animals, we headed into a strengthening wind but this time we had it on our backs as we crossed back to wee Cumbrae. We made good speed in the following sea.

After we arrived back the sun made an appearance. A perfect setting for freshly cooked burgers šŸ”

What a cracker of a day. I love this wee trip.

Iā€™ve just invested in a new portable oven cooker to complement the Trangia set. This new oven provides an even heat distribution so can make bread, pizza, cakes and desserts to various hearty stews etc. Basically, anything your oven can cook, this wee beauty can too!

I canā€™t wait to try it out in the hoose, before taking it with me on forthcoming kayak trips.

An unforgettable paddle with great friends to the spectacular Fingalā€™s Cave on Staffa!

Just one day on our recent expedition and tour of the Ross of Mull and the Treshnish Isles.

Thanks for the great company lads!

The only thing more impressive than Fingalā€™s Cave was our ability to paddle in (roughly) the same direction! šŸ˜
