Demonstrators played the role of Palestinian prisoners with others as ‘Israeli Offence Force’ as members to highlight the conditions Palestinian prisoners have to endure as a part of a protest, where Palestinian support groups gathered at the McLennan Arch at Glasgow Green before marching to Buchanan Steps in central Glasgow on the 14th of February, 2026. This was to show support for the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing conflict. Protesters also voiced opposition to comments made by US President Donald Trump suggesting the United States could “take over” and “own” the Gaza Strip. Participants carried Palestinian flags and banners calling for peace, justice, and international accountability.
