If you’re updating your Spotlight, think beyond “a nice photo”.
Think in terms of: What can casting directors actually see you as?
When Colin came in to update his Spotlight, the goal was to build a set of images that actually reflect what he can be cast as today.
→ First look: grounded, stern, tough - almost a Western sheriff
→ Second: open, curious, approachable - the kind of person you trust instantly
→ Third: a serious father figure
→ Fourth: something slightly off-centre - an uneasy edge that makes you look twice
→ Fifth: fed up, worn down - a detective who’s seen it all
Same actor. Same session. Different casting possibilities.
What made the difference wasn't just the lighting and styling, it was direction - and being willing to step into each version fully.
Colin later said:
“Anyone seeking great quality photographs at a reasonable price should consider Andrej… When Andrej speaks during the session, listen! Andrej can really direct for great shots!”
