NITON - 10.30-11.00 on TUESDAYS.

WHITWELL - 10.30-11.00 on FRIDAYS.
26/6/26 24/7/26 21/8/26 - None in September or October.

(Godshill Road, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 5 2026
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Thursday 25 June 2026, or when the works has been completed, Godshill Road, Whitwell, will be closed for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that at all times between Monday 15 June 2026, and Wednesday 24 June 2026, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Kingates Lane, Niton. For its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Structures work.

Can't help but notice a few dog walkers on Ashknowle lane are suffering from amnesia and forgetting to collect their poo bags on their way home. Please don't leave it on such a beautiful lane.

Graffiti and damage carried out at Niton Rec this week.
Bird guards on the top of the swings have been cut off. And a picnic bench has been graffitied.

The Annual Parish Meeting of Niton and Whitwell will take place this year on 27th April at 18.30. It will be held at Whitwell Village Hall, Ventnor Road, Whitwell. An agenda will be published shortly.
This will be followed by the usual monthly meeting of the Parish Council at 19.15
All are most welcome to attend.
