I am a Stay-At-Home-Mum and a self-taught (and still learning) photographer. As a kid I loved taking photos and as an adult that love has grown. I love looking for the beauty in all that is around us and everything has it's own beauty or uniqueness. At the beginning of 2011 I embarked on a 365 Project (http://365project.org/coolgirlsar/profile) where the aim is to take a photo a day for a year. I

have learnt so much from the project and from others there and have embarked on learning lots of different techniques and how to stretch my imagination.

Sadly, as some of you know, I am no longer running my photography business. Those that have had photoshoots with me may remember that they received a free complimentary gallery which would be available for up to ten years. I have noticed that some of these galleries have either expired or are not too far off from doing so. With this in mind I wanted to remind those with the galleries of this and that if you have not done so already to download your photos. I do as far as I am aware have most galleries backed up on an external hard drive which I am for now happy to keep. As always if anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

I would also like to say a huge Thank You to all of those I have had the pleasure of photographing over the years, it has been wonderful to capture those precious memories.

Thank you.
Sarah

Had a fun day out yesterday at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary. Have been wanting to pay a visit there for a very long time so was nice to actually get a chance to visit. PLUS it actually kept the teenager entertained and happy (Jut look at that face outside the Reptile House)! I know a few friends have been there but if you haven't you should definitely put it on your list of places to visit and it's for such a great cause too. Just a couple of photos, but you know me though there will be more to come. :D

Back in April I ordered some root balls from Farmer Gracy. Daz gave a chuckle when I said delivery date was "Sometime in April" and that they were coming from Holland. :D Anyhow fast forward to now and this is one of them, a Trollius 'Superbus', which is flowering (all of the 4 I bought have grown). I love this pop of yellow and how delicate it is, I just now have to be brave enough to put in the ground and hope the pesky snails don't eat it up like they have done with so many of our other plants.

Happy World Book Day!

Sadly my youngest is now too grown up for dressing up for this day but here are a few examples from previous years of what we got up to, his school used to ask for a photo of them reading in an unusual place. :D

Around this time last year Riley bought his own Mimosa from The Gardening Club, Crews Hill. It has the softest leaves and has just recently come into bloom. It's so lovely to see that spark of colour in the garden and especially so the last few days with the rain and gloomy weather.

Just a few photos taken over the last few months in our back garden. I love to see how our little garden still encourages wildlife.
