Happy International Womens Day! 💕
Sharing some love and a few photos from a recent Smart Works Leeds charity event I was incredibly proud to sponsor.
Suz Ferreira put on another spectacular ‘Womens Wealth and Wellbeing Day’ Grantley Hall.
I am shamelessly quoting copy from Suz Ferreira post to give you an overview of the day's event…
The day was filled with openness, connection, holding space for each other & ourselves and the reminder that wealth gives you freedom & choices and true wealth is in your wellbeing.
“A huge thank you to our speakers & sponsors
Kim Van Elkan, Tina Hutchinson, Eleanor Goddard, Lisa Wilson, Elizabeth Hancock, Heidi Marfitt
✨We heard from Tracy Fletcher about the capital appeal for Smart Works Leeds new centre which profits from the day will be going to support.
✨Our key note speaker Lyndsay Mitcheson eloquently delivered one of the most touching speeches I’ve heard. From shrinking ourselves to knowing our value before we even enter the room. And perhaps most powerfully - let’s be the reason another woman walks into her room and never questions whether she belongs again.
✨Helen Oldham of Lifted Ventures shared how female Angel investing was built relatively recently after some of the earliest recorded women investors were from the North. Helen highlighted the powerful effect of Catalyst Capital and the benefits of investing as a syndicate.
✨ I spoke about how Financial Wellbeing is a key pillar of wellness, affecting mental & physical wellbeing. Even though most of us weren’t taught about money it’s never too late to gain knowledge and take control of our personal finances.
Women’s wealth building is crucial self care for us and for future generations.
✨Linda Nguyenova generously shared her inspiring professional career and personal life journey, alongside her exciting next chapter as a female tech founder launching an innovative equine care management platform.
✨Clare Young reminded us that estate planning isn’t about death, it’s about protection. From first pay cheque to final legacy, it’s about safeguarding yourself and your family.
✨Louise Mortimer introduced us to The Nervous System Advantage, guiding us through a powerful and much needed breathwork session.
✨Vassiliki Kavadas spoke about 6 pillars of wellbeing and the small actionable changes we can make to improve our health.
✨Lyndsay Wells - building resilience through resistance training - the importance of strength training for a stronger body and mind. Becoming bulletproof!
✨The gorgeous energy that is Denny Davis guided us through her Mama V Method, the perfect way to end such a powerful event.
Another huge thank you to Heidi Marfitt We can’t wait to share the rest of the beautiful moments captured throughout the day 🤩
