Hey everyone, I want to take a moment away from my usual wee videos to share a massive thank you and highlight two absolute legends in our local community. 👏👏
Some of you might know that my wee girl, Sunny, is type 1 diabetic. When she was first diagnosed at just 2 years old, it was a massive shock to the system for all of us. But a huge, unexpected challenge fell on her school nursery teachers, Louise and Harley. They had never had a diabetic child in their care before, and suddenly they had to learn the ins and outs of managing a complex medical condition on the fly. 🤯🎒
If you know anything about toddlers, you know they are completely unpredictable. If Sunny decided she didn’t want to eat something, she wasn’t shy about saying a flat "NO!" 🙅♀️ When you’ve already given insulin for that food, it turns into an absolute battle against the clock to balance her blood sugars back out.
Louise and Harley faced every single challenge head-on. They did an absolutely amazing job learning everything about diabetes, keeping Sunny safe, and treating her like an absolute star. ⭐ We honestly don't know what we would have done without them.
Now, they are taking on the 1 Million Steps Diabetes Challenge to raise vital funds and awareness! 🚶♀️🚶♀️ It’s a massive undertaking, and it’s our turn to support them the way they supported us.
If you have a spare pound or two to chip into their sponsorship page, it would mean the world to me, Star (Sunny's best bud) & Sunny and go to a fantastic cause. Let’s show them how much the Revealing Scotland Clan are all about the love ❤️🤗👍🏴
