The Monkey Puzzle Tree is nature’s geometry lesson.

Every branch spirals in a near perfect Fibonacci sequence, repeating the same mathematical rhythm you see in sunflowers, shells and galaxies. Translating that structure into a cyanotype on glass felt like preserving a blueprint of nature itself.

Botanical photography meets mathematics. Light, iron and time revealing a pattern that has existed for millions of years.

Would you hang this in your home?

New work: ‘Monkey Puzzle’ 700x700mm, Cyanotype on glass.

Really hard to capture this one as it changes with the light. At times it looks holographic. I hope you enjoy.

Nice to see this piece out of the studio for the first time. Think I’ll hang on to it for a while. Albie certainly seems to enjoy it 🐈‍⬛

This piece was inspired by the patterns of a red cabbage. First I sliced it and photographed. I then turned the unique patterns into a digital language that the CNC would understand. The CNC machine routed it for me. Lastly I painted it and finished it with pure pigment.

It’s got a lovely matte finish that almost acts as void. I was inspired by both Anish Kapoor and Yves Klein when making this work

I hope you like it 🌀

Keep rolling with the punches 🥊

Here I am with my trusty glass clamps and two of my latest works.

The picture helps give an idea of scale. They’re 1.1m and 1.2m in diameter 🌀

Some photographs of my latest work ‘1.618’

These two free standing artworks fall more into the sculptural genre.

The way the light shines on and through them is so interesting. The shadows and reflections are what makes them intriguing.

I’ve enjoyed seeing seeing people interact, move around and I’m look through them. To instigate movement in the viewer is something I’m constantly working towards

When you look through them it almost feels as if you’re underwater

I hope you like them 🌀

Shout out to .ocloo_ for organising the show

BATTERSEA LOCALS! I’m excited to share that I’ve partnered up with to sell and display some select originals.

Staring with my piece ‘Divine Symmetry’ 2023

This unique artwork is created using a modified Victorian process called cyanotype. I print directly onto glass so each piece is totally unique and 1/1. It naturally creates deep Prussian blues you can get lost in.

This piece is framed in a wooden frame with LED backlighting. It comes with a remote control so you can change the brightness and modes.

Art + ambient lighting. What more could you want. It looks particularly spectacular at night so have a look if you’re passing 🌀
