This particular style of portrait I had wanted to do for quite a long time as I love fine art portraiture and the painterly/old masters look. I have a friend who is very good with arts and crafts and I asked if she would take on a challenge of making me a floral crown and this was the end product. I knew as soon as I saw the headpiece what style and type of image I wanted to do and hoped that I could do justice to showing casing the headpiece. I loved how the colours all blended in to each other and the soft elegant look of the headpiece stood out.

The strange thing about this image is at this particular point the model wasn’t posing, it just so happened that we were chatting and in mid conversation she had this almost sad serene look come over her and when I saw it I shouted “don’t move a muscle” as her pose and demeanour looked like she was lost in her own thoughts. 😊

Thought I’d share this with you all. The gorgeous Cara Harroway modelled this beautiful headpiece that I had made for our shoot. The image has won me a High Bronze in the Guild of Photographers 😊
