'The Ballerina'

One of my all time favourite bird photos. This one was taken from my kitchen window, I'd built a reflection pool right outside for the Sparrows to bathe and drink from and so I could stand in my kitchen and watch them while catching the odd photograph. We had a fantastic population of Sparrows as well as many other birds but the Sparrows were always a joy to watch. They were so used to us they wouldn't even fly away as we walked past!

I'm happy how this turned out. They move so fast that fast shutter speeds are needed to freeze the action. I'm making plans for a new reflection pool but this time in the woodland where I am building the hide. I've been in the woods a decent amount working on getting the space ready for visitors (human & animal!) and also working hard to provide habitat and accommodation (nest boxes) for the wildlife of the wood. Its nice to have a winter project!

I'm also having a January sale on my website and have been adding new work and old. You can also find out information about the woodland project and hide or maybe you would like to join me on a trip to Iceland or Tenerife.
