For the longest time, I believed that a great portrait had to be all polished and perfect. But as I reflected on it more, I realized that many women struggle to see themselves in those overly posed photos. They often get caught up in trying to look beautiful, striking the right pose, or concealing the parts of themselves they’re not fond of.
Recently, I’ve found myself drawn to a different perspective.
What if we stopped asking, “How do I look?”
And instead started asking, “How do I feel?”
Sometimes, the most genuine photographs emerge from that space.
