On Monday, I had the absolute PLEASURE of visiting Hull Animal Welfare Trust to photograph some of the animals they care for. 🐾

If you haven’t come across them before, they are an amazing charity based over in South Cave, and they've been a lifeline for local pets since 1982. They take in stray, abandoned, and unwanted cats and dogs, giving them a safe haven when they have absolutely nowhere else to turn.

What I love most about them is that it’s not just about providing a temporary roof over their heads. The team works tirelessly to give every single animal proper veterinary care, behavioural support, and a mountain of love to get them ready for their next chapter. Plus, they operate on a strict non-destruction policy, meaning every healthy animal is safe with them for as long as it takes to find the right match.

The work they do is so incredibly important, but because they don't receive any government funding, they rely entirely on donations, their charity shops, and amazing volunteers to keep the doors open.

It was such a privilege to spend the day capturing the brilliant personalities of these animals. I really hope these photos help them find the loving forever homes they so thoroughly deserve! ❤️

Up close & personal with the golden heads of the Northern Gannets 🕊️

Made another visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs yesterday in the hope of spotting a puffin or two! Unfortunately, they didn’t come out to play but the Gannets definitely did 🫶🏻

My first outing with the Canon RF 200-800mm lens, and it did not disappoint! (Also gained some mega muscles using it without a monopod!) 📸

Last night I was over the moon to photograph the HEY Charity Awards.

It was a brilliant evening celebrating the unbelievable work our local charities do across the region.

The room was absolutely BUZZING, filled with smiles, laughter, a few happy tears, and the kind of lovely atmosphere you wish you could bottle up. A massive congratulations to all of the winners.🫶🏻

I'll be sharing some of my absolute favourite shots over the next few days - I just need to work my way through the 3,000 photos I took first! 🫣

A huge thank you to the HEY Smile Foundation for having me. I really appreciate the support, and a massive well done on putting on such a fantastic night.
