A little honest post from me… 🤍

This has been my quietest year since the beginning of Covid—and, if I’m completely honest, it has been heartbreaking.

I have spent years pouring so much love, time and hard work into building my photography business. Every session means something to me. Every tiny newborn detail, every growing bump, every childhood smile and every precious family connection is captured with genuine care.

I’m not sure whether photography has become a luxury that many families simply can’t prioritise right now, or whether more people are choosing cheaper alternatives. I completely understand that times are difficult and everyone has different budgets. I have always tried to keep my prices reasonable for the quality, experience and personal service I provide—because I truly believe every family deserves to have their memories preserved beautifully.

Being quiet can sometimes make a small business feel invisible, but I just wanted you to know that I’m still here.

I may not have posted for a little while, but Olive & Grace Photography is still very much open, and I’m still available for maternity, newborn, children’s and family photoshoots.

This business has always been so much more than a job to me. It’s a piece of my heart, and I’m not ready to give up on it.

Golden summer evenings have a way of slowing the world down. The warm breeze carried the scent of sun-dried grass, the fields glowed in shades of gold, and every last ray of sunshine wrapped everything in the softest light.

Last night's session with Evelyn was pure magic. Funny, kind, effortlessly beautiful, and the sort of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever.

She made my job so incredibly easy, filling the evening with laughter from start to finish.

These are the moments I love most... the hum of the countryside, the whisper of the tall sunburnt grass, the warmth of the golden sun on your skin, and memories made on perfect summer nights that feel as though they'll last forever. ✨🌾☀️

Longer days, brighter mornings, more time spent with loved ones.

Let's preserve this chapter before it becomes a memory.

Whether they're taking their first wobbly steps, climbing every tree they can find, or simply being their wonderfully wild selves, summer is the perfect time to capture the magic of childhood.

These aren't just photographs. They're the moments you'll look back on years from now and remember exactly who they were in this season of life.

✨ Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?… Her Royal Threeness 👑✨

Betsy is 3! Wow… where has that time gone?

I first met this beautiful little girl when she was still snug in her mummy’s tummy, and over the last three years I’ve had the absolute privilege of capturing some of her biggest milestones.

From a beautiful newborn, to a little sitter, her first birthday, second birthday, and now her third birthday session. What an honour it is to be trusted with such precious memories and to watch her grow into the amazing little girl she is today.

Betsy never fails to make me laugh. She has the kindest heart, the biggest personality, and a smile that lights up every session.

I can’t wait to capture many more special moments as she continues to grow.

Three years in a row. 💛

I’m incredibly honoured and grateful to have been named Best Newborn Photographer in the East Riding for the third consecutive year.

When I started this journey, I simply wanted to create beautiful memories for families and capture those fleeting moments that pass by far too quickly. To now be recognised year after year for doing something I truly love is a feeling that’s difficult to put into words.

This award isn’t just about photography. It’s about every family who has trusted me with their most precious moments, every newborn I’ve had the privilege of photographing, and every parent who has welcomed me into their story.

Being recognised with a quality score of 95%+ and ranked amongst the top businesses in the UK is an achievement I am immensely proud of, but none of it would be possible without the incredible support of my clients, followers, friends and family.

To every family who has chosen Olive & Grace Photography over the years – thank you. Thank you for your trust, your kind words, your recommendations and for allowing me to preserve memories that will be treasured for generations.

I never take that privilege for granted.

A little dream in front of the camera, with the sweetest heart and the gentlest spirit. These natural moments were captured amongst the golden morning light at the Westwood on a fresh and sun-dappled Sunday morning — full of laughter, soft breezes, and a little bit of magic.......
