🤯🏆 WE JUST WON THE AUDIENCE AWARD AT SHEFFIELD DOC FEST Sheffield DocFest ! 🏆🤯

This means so much to all of us. Myself and the band are beyond chuffed. We’ve always admired the previous winners of this award and the festival itself, so to be in this position feels a little surreal. 🤯✨

Premiering and screening the film at the festival already felt like an incredible achievement, so winning a people-voted award is incredibly meaningful and such a lovely surprise. 🤘🏆💀

This is exactly why we made the film: for audiences to see it, for everyday people to fall in love with the band as we filmmakers have, and for people with learning disabilities, autism and Down syndrome to take centre stage in an authentic way. 🎬🤘❤️

Our friend .g.brown has been working for over three years capturing something incredible — the story of Ultimate Thunder, a Leeds-based rock band like no other.
Six members, five with learning disabilities, Down syndrome or autism — together they’ve built something raw, loud and unstoppable.

Ben has filmed over 100 hours of footage, all as an unfunded passion project, and now he’s crowdfunding to finish the film and share it with the world.

🎬 This isn’t just a film about music — it’s about creativity, friendship, and proving that art has no limits.
It’s a DIY, heartfelt story told with the band, not about them.

The team are now raising £20,000 to complete the final edit, post-production, music, animation, and screenings — so this powerful story can reach audiences everywhere.

🎸 From being on the brink of splitting up to playing huge festivals
🎸 From setbacks, surgeries and lost voices to national TV appearances
