Throwback Thursday!

I thought I’d share one of my first (snowy) sunrise images from when I started drone photography several years ago.

A lot has changed since then: camera settings, seasons, experience, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.

But every sunrise still catches me by surprise.

There’s something about seeing the landscape from above, especially in that first light of the day, that never gets old.

10th Hole at the truly beautiful Macclesfield Golf Club from my drone. A long Par 5. Hit to the edge of the trees on the right, let the slope take it slightly down towards the trees on the left. Then it's decision time. Go for the green at about 200-240 yards or lay up to a pitching wedge just beyond the left bunker. What would you do?

Very easy play when you're flying a drone!

A few weeks ago, SkyCam Leeds had the pleasure of supporting an architecture student by capturing drone photography of a site in York for one of their assessed projects.

And what a fantastic result!
