Micro - Weddings!

There’s something truly special about a micro wedding...

With a smaller guest list, couples can spend meaningful time with the people who matter most, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

I actually had a smaller guest list myself for my own wedding due to being abroad, and actually it meant that we got to spend plenty of time with everyone, and didn't feel pulled from pillar to post trying to get around 80-100 guests!

The focus shifts away from hosting a large event and towards celebrating love, connection, and the little moments that make the day unforgettable.

And it means you can focus on what really matters!!
You guys!!

Current wedding trends?

We're seeing a shift away from "perfect" weddings and toward personalized experiences that tell a story.
Think handwritten vows shared privately before the ceremony, signature cocktails inspired by a couple's first date, late-night food trucks, interactive guest books, and wedding weekends designed more like festivals than formal events.

One of the most interesting trends is the rise of "guest experience" weddings. Couples are asking a different question: not "What should a wedding look like?" but "How do we want our guests to feel?"
The result is more meaningful moments, less rigid schedules, and celebrations that feel authentic rather than performative.

Sustainability is also becoming a major priority. Digital invitations, locally sourced flowers, vintage attire, and reusable décor are proving that beautiful weddings don't have to come at the expense of the environment.

Perhaps the biggest change of all? Couples are giving themselves permission to celebrate on their own terms.

🥛 Milking it?🥛

Sitter sessions are one of the most overlooked milestones, and honestly, they are SO special 🤍

That sweet stage when your little one has just learned to sit independently is full of personality, gummy smiles, chunky baby rolls, and so much curiosity.
They’re not quite on the move yet (or at least not quite so fast!), which makes it the perfect time to capture those happy expressions and tiny details before the busy toddler stage begins.

These sessions are simple, relaxed, and completely focused on your baby’s growing personality.
No pressure, no elaborate setups needed, just your little one exactly as they are in this fleeting season.

Most sitter sessions happen around 6–9 months, when baby can sit confidently but isn’t quite crawling everywhere yet.

Trust me, this is a stage you’ll never regret documenting ✨

This time of year is one of my favourites for outdoor photo sessions ☀️

The weather is getting warmer (certainly is at the moment anyway!! 🥵 ), the evenings feel lighter, everything is green, and it’s just such a lovely season for updated photos.

Whether you’re thinking family photos, maternity, couples, milestone sessions, or simply wanting some natural, relaxed images of your little ones, location sessions are perfect this time of year.

And for anyone who loves that soft golden hour glow, the timing is finally working in our favour again 🙌🏼 We can get still those dreamy evening tones around 7:30/8pm (having to wait until 9pm in late june onwards - eurgh...)

Outdoor sessions always have such a relaxed feel to them, with plenty of space for little ones to explore, play, and just be themselves, and much more around us to keep them entertained ✨

Look at this little pout!! 😘

Newborn sessions are so precious for capturing those cute little expressions.
It's not just about those perfectly posed moments (however we always work to get those too!)
But I do love it when we get some funny or unusual expressions too, often they are ones that parents recognise as something they do fairly regularly at home too so they can be just as important as the perfectly posed snoozy photos.
