When new brand images are ready, it feels a bit like Christmas Day. š
And today I get to share my presence.
New brand images.
New profile picture.
And a very happy photographer.
The last profile picture I had lasted a whole year because, if Iām honest, I absolutely loved it.
And while I know thereās plenty of advice about changing your profile photo regularly, Iād rather wait until I have a photo that genuinely feels like me than change it for the sake of change.
Which got me thinkingā¦
Why do I always look ridiculously happy in my profile pictures? š
The answer goes back to my 30s.
Back then, I tended to choose calm, thoughtful photos for my social media and dating profiles. I was trying to look sexy - I know!
The problem was, when people met me in real life, they were often expecting someone a little more sultry, serious or mysterious.
And then they met⦠me.
These days, I choose photos that reflect the energy people experience when they actually meet me.
The big smile.
The enthusiasm.
The warmth.
The occasional chaos.
Because your profile picture isn't just about looking good.
Itās about giving people a sense of who they're going to meet before youāve even said hello.
If someone meets you after seeing your profile, they shouldnāt feel surprised by who turns up.
They should feel like theyāve already met you.
Thatās what authentic visibility means to me.
So hereās the new profile picture. š
It feels like me.
And thatās exactly the point.
