I’m absolutely lost for words.

My little business….in . The biggest pinch me moment so far.

How is this even real? I’m honestly so so grateful to first of all Tatler for reaching out and featuring me and secondly, every single person who has supported me on this journey. Whether you’re a supplier, a friend, a family member, every word of encouragement has meant the absolute world to me.

When I first started my business last year, I was completely new to the industry. I had to learn everything from scratch, make connections, learn wedding etiquette and the hardest bit of all, figure out how to run a business. The thing nobody teaches you how to do. It was all a guessing game and a cycle of build, build, build.

It’s been a crazy ride, but we’re only just getting started. I promise you 🥹

Wedding content creation isn’t just about more footage.

I agree, it’s a big bonus, but there’s so much more to it than that.

For me, it’s about documenting stories in a thoughtful, heartfelt way – capturing the laughs, the tears, the moments in between that often get overlooked or sometimes even forgotten about.

It’s not just a case of getting an iPhone out and pressing record. There’s so much thought that goes into each day, from creative direction, to lighting, movement, angles, the shots – and there’s a lot of pre-planning that happens before the big day to align with the couple’s vision.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a lot of talented suppliers who see the value in what we do, but I know there’s still a big misconception in the industry about the value in wedding content creation and why couples need one.

For me, I believe there’s massive value in it. It’s not just trends, or quick videos - it’s your moments, preserved - and we’re only just scratching the surface of how much this industry has to offer in the years to come ✨

As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the last six months, having ventured into this crazy and exciting world of content creation.

In July this year, I threw everything I had at this business to get it off the ground — spending my evenings and weekends building a website, workflow, enquiry form, working on my branding, and building connections within the industry to start getting my name out there.

It hasn’t all been a walk in the park. At times, I’ve burnt myself out trying to juggle it all — weekend weddings, admin, and the slow but steady journey of learning about all things tax and self-assessment. But it’s all been a learning curve, and I’m feeling more confident, optimistic, and established heading into 2026.

I know where I want this business to go and what I want to achieve over the next 12 months, and I’m so grateful to the people within the industry who have taken the time to share their learnings with me — and even recommend me. Here’s to continuing to learn, grow, and build something that feels true to me 🤍
