First photomeet I ever attended was in Birmingham 2019, it fell around the time of the Chinese New Year. By chance my second meet, this time in London did the same. Had to run it back with the street photography, shout-out .mclaren for reviving my enjoyment in this style of shooting

I want to start by saying Happy New Year. Whilst I’m saying it pretty late I promise there’s good reason for that. I’ve been working on something for a super long time now, on and off for so many reasons I wish I could fit in this caption. With that being said I’m posting this to announce my first ever website being live. Like everything in life it will get better with time but this means a lot to me in terms of doubling down on the belief I have in myself. I want to thank everyone who has appeared in a photo, given me advice, worked with me or even just spoken to me. You’ve all shown me how much more I could be doing, I think I’m finally ready now to do that

Around this time last year is when I graduated from uni, 2 years since I lived on this road in Edgbaston, Birmingham (second slide). Being a graduate is not for the easily disheartened, I can’t lie and say it’s gone exactly how I pictured it, regardless I learnt lessons through everyone I met. I don’t plan on being done learning for a very long time. For those of you who went to uni have your perceptions on it changed since graduating or remained the same? Lemme know

Update 📝 - Been working a lot of hours recently which hasn’t left me with loads of spare time to spend on really shooting or making anything. But it’s practically summer after all and I want to bring my camera out of retirement. I want to shoot wayy more portraiture and just general lifestyle type stuff. I started this after I finished watching Jeen-Yuhs on Netflix a couple of weeks ago, whilst it was originally supposed to be based on this I changed it to focus on his identity/identities through masks.

I'm enjoying making these kinds of edits right now, I want to base my next on a UK artist next, send me suggestions in the comments below
