So, I join a flashmob, put together by fashion designer Pierre Garroudi. It’s like the streets of London, is a fashion show! Its actually alot of fun. I have written my experience about the Photo Flashmob here:-

Fashion Designer Pierre Garroudi, creating a walking fashion show on the streets of London! I came across the flashmob purely by accident one week in February 2020. A crowd was being drawn, as I left Oxford Circus station. Curiosity made me a investigate. I saw models against the shop window of H&M,...

This year has not been a good start, for starting a social photogroup. But I'd thought I'd share some photos from Pierre Garroudi Flash Mob fashion shoot from this weekend. It's a great opportunity to shot some models, and it's free!

It's very spontanious, which is the shots I like. You can never know what situation will arise. The only downfall, is it can get quite busy, and with a lot of photographers, it can be hard to get in position for a good composition before we move on to the next location.

Let me know if you wanted to join one of these flash mob photoshoots. Get some practice in?

Some of the best photos can be captured in the early mornings. You just have to allow yourself to be in the right place at the right time. Suburb capture.

Inspire a generation.

Sky scraping, by Tom Butler.

I was at a nature reserve, walking through the wooded section there was something just off the path that could the eye. It was a bright mushroom so we went to investigate. As we got there, the shot wasn't great so whilst my friend played around with composition, my mind wandered. A few days earlier I had watched a YouTube video where some advice was to change perspective and mentioned looking straight up so I did and I loved how the trees looked so large but the canopy of each tree appeared to fill the sky but kept their distance from each other. I got the 10-20mm out the bag and composed the shot to have all the trees bending into the middle of the frame with the tree half way up the left side, balanced with one on the right giving some symmetry in bottom half the scene.

When this photo was taken, it felt like the perfect beautiful moment.

Both model and photographer are architects. The building was also created by a famous architect, so we wanted to show it at this unique angle with a fun shot. Just a spontaneous and beautiful moment.

Inspire a generation!

I love this photo for loads of reasons. I love early mornings, the cool crisp air, the quiet and the light. On the morning of this photo, we really didn’t think we would get any good shots because of the cloud cover. Then the sun appeared. There are things I’d change about the composition, like having the sun evenly spaced in the gap, but the fact that it isn’t perfect reminds me of how fast the clouds were moving and that by the time had moved the few millimetres, the cloud had covered it completely. This photo always reminds me that life is fleeting and we should grab it while we can.

A journey into photography. By Tom Butler. A young and inspiring photographer, sharing his experiences we can all relate too.

Looking back to when I first started thinking about photography, I can see just how much I have learned and evolved as a β€œphotographer” – or if you’re like me and feel intimidated by the term given all the incredible professionals out there, β€œperson with a camera who loves taking photos”...
