Super excited to share that I’m offering motherhood mini-sessions on Blackheath. Starting next week, Thursday 21st May, during golden hour.

This is for the mothers who keep meaning to be in the photos and somehow never are. I’ve got you 🫶

I’m Andrea, a local and a family photographer since 2011. My work is described as lifestyle meets editorial, a fancy way of saying natural and honest but considered.

These minis are designed to give you a quiet quarter of an hour on the heath, in the best light of the day, to be in the picture with your little one.

Date: Thursday 21st May (possibly Friday 22nd too if there’s enough interest and the weather behaves)

Time: Golden hour slots from around 7.30pm

Location: Blackheath

Session length: 15 minutes

Price: £195

Includes: 3 digital images from your gallery

Slots: 4 only

Choosing your London shoot location isn't about ticking landmarks off a list. It's about the feeling you want in your photos

Calm, elegant, quietly cinematic? Think beautiful townhouses, light bouncing off neutral façades, space to breathe. If you want relaxed, editorial-style images without battling crowds, I know just the place, in fact I know many!

The famous landmarks give you that unmistakable London moment. Iconic. Grand. Instantly recognisable. We just approach it strategically, timing, angles, light direction (when the sun makes an appearance!!) so you're not squinting or overwhelmed by tourists.

Questions I'm usually asked:

What's the best time?
Early. Always earlier than you think. If you want beautiful light, and fewer crowds.

Can we combine both?
Yes, and the contrast is stunning. Understated London + iconic London in one gallery is my thing

What's best with children?
Cabs or tubes between locations and keeping things flowing.
The experience matters just as much as the location.
The truth? The right locations are the ones that fit your energy as a family. If you think green spaces are more your thing then that's always an option too

One of the biggest myths about family photography is the idea that children need to behave like small professionals attending a serious engagement arranged by their PA. In reality, kids rarely stay still, rarely follow instructions for long, and very often have entirely different priorities. That is normal, expected and even encouraged! The best images usually come somewhere between the wriggling, wandering, sudden bursts of energy, and (brief) moments of unexpected calmness

Ironically, it's often the adults striving for perfect behaviour who introduce the most stress. Children being children is rarely the problem!
These guys got the memo and I adore this set from a chilly but gorgeously sunny winter session a few months back

Did you feel the warmth of the winter sun trying to hit your face recently? ☀️ Positively teasing us!

Having said that, I wore gloves indoors while editing yesterday, cut the fingers out so I could scroll the mouse 😂

There’s no secret to getting beautiful photos on your family photography shoot.

We walk, we chat, we stop if baby needs a cuddle. I aim to choose calm routes with beautiful London architecture and keep things moving so it never feels awkward or forced.

If you’re not sure what to do with your hands, or where to look that’s normal. You don’t need to perform. I’ll guide you when needed and leave you to it when you’re smashing it by just being in the moment.
